Ambilatres

[ Cross-border position desk ]

Every crossing has a price.
We compute yours and cite it.

You are taking a job in Geneva, retiring from Dubai to Portugal, or coming home after four countries. Ambilatres turns your real situation into a Position Dossier: what each country costs you for your income, what happens to every asset and wrapper you hold, what each pension system will actually pay, and the dated actions in between.

Every figure carries the official text it came from. We sell the analysis and nothing else — no product, no commission, no adviser waiting at the end of the dossier.

The intake is not open yet. This page collects nothing: no email field, no waitlist, no account.

An engraved survey map of a river, with surveyed parcels on both banks and dotted crossing routes over the water.

France–Switzerland corridor

Married, one child · gross salary €140,000 · French rental income €18,000 · PEA and assurance-vie held

Bank A — France, tax resident

tax and social contributions, 2026 tax year [CGI art. 197]

Bank B — Switzerland, Geneva resident

€38,900

tax and social contributions, 2026 tax year [LIFD art. 36]

Annual difference

€51,300 less €38,900. In favour of Bank B, on income alone. Your wrappers and your pension years come next, and they are what usually move the total.

Three flagged exposures

  1. 01Your PEA the day you leaveThe plan survives the move, but unrealised gains on your securities are valued at departure and can fall inside the exit charge.[CGI art. 167 bis]
  2. 02Your €18,000 of French rental incomeIt stays taxable in France after you leave, and carries social levies of 17.2% unless your affiliation exempts you.[CSS art. L136-6]
  3. 03Your 2e pilier buy-backA voluntary buy-back is deductible from Geneva taxable income in the year it is paid. The window closes when you leave Switzerland.[LPP art. 79b]

Forums and blogs

no figures

Generic, often out of date, and never about your own numbers.

Cost-of-living calculators

wrong subject

They price a city and a salary. They do not know your property, your wrappers or your pension years.

The free expat adviser

paid by someone else

Free at the point of use because a commission sits inside an assurance-vie or an offshore bond. The work is real; the incentive is not yours.

The cross-border fiscalist

slow and opaque

Excellent work, €1,500 to €5,000, the price hidden behind a contact form, and weeks of waiting.

So people make irreversible cross-border decisions on hearsay and a spreadsheet, and find out what it cost years later, in a pension statement or a tax assessment.

[ Two hard rules ]

Rule one

We compute and cite. We never recommend a fund, an allocation, a provider or a security.

Rule two

We never touch your money, and no third party ever pays us to write a dossier a particular way.

That is what keeps Ambilatres outside the licensed perimeter. It is also the whole point: this is the only analysis in this market that nobody is paying to have written a particular way. No commissions, no referral fees, no retrocessions, ever.

We never ask for bank credentials, portfolio holdings or account numbers. We do not need them and we will not hold them.

[ The Dossier ]

A document you can hand to an accountant without embarrassment.

Answer seven questions, then upload what you have — relevé de carrière, certificat AVS, 2e pilier statement, payslips, tax notices. The desk reads them back as plain lines you can correct.

  1. 01Scenario comparisonEach country in play, side by side, with the actual annual tax and social-contribution outcome for your income.
  2. 02Asset and wrapper treatmentEvery asset and wrapper you hold — PEA, assurance-vie, 2e pilier, property, options — under each residency in question.
  3. 03Career LedgerFull DossierYour pension periods across systems, reconciled into one view, with what each system will actually pay and where the gaps are.
  4. 04GapFull DossierThe capital your stated retirement budget requires, and the monthly savings rate that closes the shortfall.
  5. 05CalendarDated actions, nearest deadline first, with the days remaining beside each one.
  6. 06SourcesThe official text behind every figure, and a link under each number to have it re-derived within 48 hours.
